Super Newbie

Submitted by dtolo on October 6, 2006 - 12:37pm.

Please be patient with me, I have been using computers for a long time and am an expert with windows and I am pretty comfortable with dos. I know nothing about macs and I am interested in linux so I just loaded fedorah 5 in a vm and now I want to load the vmware tools which has an rdm extension. I forgot how to get a command prompt in kde

I guess thats first so I can then figure out how to run the RDM.

Much Appreciated,
~David

Hey! I don't know anything about VMWare, as I've never really used it (except experimenting with Windows within X), so I don't know what a ".rdb" file is (though Google suggests it's a database of sorts). Anyway, long story short, to get a terminal in KDE you can go to the KDE menu (on your panel, or middle click on the desktop), go to "Utilities", then "Terminal". Hey presto, Konsole will dance for its master.
